Monte Vista is a natural castle rock blend thin stone with a tumbled finish.  The veneer is a blend of colors but amazingly all the pieces come from the same quarry.  The color differences are from the raw stone being extracted at different depths within the quarry.  The color change is due to how deep the minerals have penetrated into the ground over time.  The more colorful earthy tones come from shallow depths, whereas, the more neutral grey tones are deeper in the ground.  Monte Vista has a smooth texture and the pieces have rounded edges from the tumbling process.
