A New Shopping Experience at Wexford Plaza
A high end indoor/outdoor furniture and décor company built a storefront at Wexford Plaza in Wexford, PA. Wexford Plaza is a premier destination for shopping, dining, and more.
Wexford is a suburb of Pittsburg, PA. It is named after County Wexford, Ireland.
The Vision
The owner and architect of the company were looking for a modern take on quality and classic materials. The storefront called for the beauty of natural stone and a soft modern aesthetic. A drystack masonry application was chosen for a more modern appearance.
Selecting the Stone
With the goal of creating a modern and visually stunning commercial storefront, the architect and owner decided on Quarry Mill’s Nob Hill real thin veneer.
About Nob Hill
Nob Hill is a natural thin limestone veneer cut specifically for a drystack installation. The individual pieces of stone show the splitface or interior part of the stone and are sawed to heights of 2”, 5” and 7”. Nob Hill is imported from Israel and comes from a historic quarry that has been operational for thousands of years. Nob Hill showcases off-white, beige, and soft gray tones.
Completing the Project
Nob Hill was used for outdoor walls, pillars and interior accent walls. The stone on the outside of the store is very inviting as it is laid around the main entrance. One interior accent wall has a lighted wall sconce against with a small free standing water fountain under it.
