Lava Rock is a unique and rare natural basalt thin veneer. The stone is collected by hand from the lava fields of the Pacific Northwest. The ancient volcanic rock is dark and fine-grained with high iron and magnesium content.

Lava Rock has a texture unlike any other stone we offer. The texture is very rough with little holes that are the remnants of small air bubbles trapped in the thick and viscous lava when it cooled. The pieces of the Lava Rock showcase the natural shapes of the stone found in nature, with the only manufacturing process being sawing the backs with a diamond blade into thin veneer.
