Carn Brea Natural Thin Stone Veneer

Carn Brea is a very dark, mosaic-style, natural thin-cut stone veneer.  Although the stone is sought after for its nearly black color, it has some natural veining and soft color variation due to mineral staining.  Carn Brea’s irregular or spider web-like shape creates a kaleidoscope appearance on the finished wall.

We typically recommend sticking with a standard gray mortar; however, with Carn Brea’s dark, bold colors, a black or white mortar can add visual appeal.  Black mortar will create a dark, moody wall, while white mortar will make the stone pop due to the high contrast.
