Oak Canyon Natural Thin Stone Veneer

My husband and I were interested in a custom look for our cottage remodel. The Quarry Mill offered the selection of products we were looking for. We ordered a few sample boards to compare how they would blend together and decided on Potomac and Oak Canyon. The stone gave a true facelift to our cottage - we were potentially going to move but instead decided to love our cottage instead of list it. The remodel and stone truly makes me love my cottage again!
Oak Canyon is a castle rock or square-rec style real stone veneer. Sheets of natural sandstone are unearthed and split with a large guillotine hydraulic press into rectangles. Within the stone industry this process is referred to as chopping as the stone that has been split has chopped edges. Looking closely at the individual pieces of stone you can see they have roughly straight lines while retaining a semi-rustic look. Oak Canyon has a natural mix of lighter earth tones and sandy browns. Due to the larger individual pieces of stone, Oak Canyon is best suited for large projects and makes for a great exterior option.
