Biltmore is a tumbled castle rock style natural thin stone veneer.  The thin veneer starts as natural sandstone sheets quarried in the USA.  The sheets or slabs of stone are fed into a hydraulic press where a craftsman splits them into usable rectangular blocks.  The blocks of stone are fed into a tumbler; the tumbler somewhat resembles and works like a large cement mixer. As the pieces of stone tumble and bash into each other, the sharp edges are worn off. This process gives the stone a much more worn, softer, and older appearance.  The outer faces of the tumbled blocks are sawn off to create the thin stone veneer and finish Biltmore.

We ordered Biltmore natural stone from The Quarry Mill. The many options available allowed us to pick the exact right stone we were hoping for. The stone added just the right amount of drama and boldness to our home. The employees were wonderful to work with and overall very happy to help us with every question we had. The end result is just stunning and we are thrilled with our stone selection. We would highly recommend Quarry Mill.

Biltmore Natural Stone Veneer Sample Board

Professionally made 12"x13.5" display board made to show the stones' range of color and texture. The pieces of stone will usually be sawn on the edges to fit the board whereas the actual product will not be. Price includes shipping via USPS Priority Mail and typically arrives within five business days. Sample costs are refunded upon placing the stone order.
