Eagle River is a unique ashlar style linear take on natural moss rock. Moss rock is a collective term used to describe the pieces of stone that are on the top of or halfway within the layer of topsoil. The stone is exposed to the elements and weather. Moss rock is unique in that lichen grows on the pieces over time. The raw pieces are collected and sorted by hand. The natural pieces have irregular shapes which we saw on two parallel sides to create a more linear style stone. This becomes the top and bottom of the natural stone veneer and allows the mason to install the pieces in an ashlar pattern.
