Bloomington Natural Thin Stone Veneer
Bloomington is a large-format natural limestone panel. The stone is sawed on all six sides with a honed finish on the outer face. Honing is an industry term referring to the process of lightly sanding the stone to remove any saw marks, leaving a smooth surface. The pieces of Bloomington are cut to 11 ⅝” x 23 ⅝” x 3 cm.
Bloomington natural stone veneer is cut from the famous Indiana limestone, also known as Bedford or Salem limestone within the architectural world. Over half the state capital buildings, along with the Empire State Building and Pentagon, are made of Indiana limestone. Bloomington’s standard-size panels can be cut to different sizes within reason.
