My wife and I enjoyed spending a Saturday morning with coffee in hand in our sun room looking through all the stone options on the QuarryMill website. The experience was terrific and we were able to really spend time deciding on the options we wanted sample boards for. Gills Rock is a dimensional cut off-white natural limestone thin veneer. The stone is 100% split face, meaning the exposed surface was created by splitting the stone with a large hydraulic press. Gills Rock showcases natural tones with whites, creams, and light grays. The stone has sawed heights of 4”, 6”, and 8” with snapped/split edges at random lengths.
The sawed height dimensions of Gills Rock are different from our standard dimensional stone heights. Due to this difference, Gills Rock is typically installed in a running bond or course height pattern (as shown in the mockup). Gills Rock can also lend itself to drystacking. Based on the cost-effective price, Gills Rock is sometimes installed in a random ashlar pattern; however, this installation method requires additional masonry work to accomplish.
