Midnight Shimmer Natural Thin Stone Veneer

Midnight Shimmer is a rough-cut castle rock style natural thin stone veneer.  The stone is named Midnight Shimmer for the light shine and soft sparkle the pieces give off. We refer to this stone as rough-cut due to the way the stone naturally splits. The pieces go through the same splitting process as our other castle rock style stones. All of our castle rock options are split to create rectangles but unlike our other castle rock stones, Midnight Shimmer does not break in clean straight lines. The nature of the stone causes Midnight Shimmer to almost fracture under the pressure of the hydraulic press instead of creating a clean split. This rough-cut castle rock style creates a blend between organic and uniform. The stone has a split back; it has not been sawn on the back with a diamond blade.  The quarry is naturally layered in approximately one-inch increments allowing a split back rather than sawn. This will have no impact on installation or final appearance.
