Augustine is a beautiful tumbled fieldledge style natural thin cut sandstone veneer.  The veneer represents the old-world charm that comes from tumbled stone.  Augustine has a mix of the different faces of the sandstone slabs.  The larger irregular pieces are the tops and bottoms of the slabs, whereas, the linear pieces are the edges of the slabs. Augustine showcases the outer faces of the stone that have great variation as opposed to the more monochromatic interior. The stone is predominantly tan and light brown with an occasional very dark or light piece.  Augustine’s textures are smooth and soft due to the tumbling process. The irregular mosaic pieces have a split back while the linear pieces have a sawn back. This will have no impact on the installation or final appearance.
