Blackburn is a dark grey and black castle rock style thin stone veneer. The dark tones and blocky pieces make Blackburn a bold and impressive stone choice. The large rectangular castle rock style pieces of real stone veneer have an unusually smooth texture. The pieces are natural bedface and have been split with a hydraulic press on all four sides. The term bedface comes from the quarrying word natural bed which refers to the flat horizontal surface or layer of the quarry. If you were to walk across the quarry, the surface you walk on is the natural bed. The horizontal surface retains the minerals giving Blackburn its color.
