Brisbane is a modern dimensional ledgestone style natural limestone veneer.  Each individual piece of stone is 2.25” in height with random lengths and snapped edges.  Brisbane shows the split face or interior part of the stone exposed by breaking the sheets of stone with a hydraulic press.  Brisbane will naturally show a light sparkle when exposed to sunlight.  The thin veneer is initially produced in the same way as a standard countertop; the large blocks of stone are cut into sheets with a 2.25” thickness.  Rather than honing and polishing the sheets as you would a countertop, the stone is fed through the hydraulic press and split into strips which are sawn into thin veneer.
