Florence Natural Thin Stone Veneer

Florence is a premium thin cut veneer showing all three faces of our natural Wisconsin limestone. The finished veneer blends the interior, tops/bottoms, and edges of the natural shelf rock limestone slabs. Only shelf rock limestone quarries produce these three distinct faces due to the natural layering between the slabs or sheets of stone. When rainwater seeps through the ground it carries minerals and imparts unique colors and characteristics to the stone. The tops and bottoms are cut into larger rectangular pieces with shades of gray and light tan. The edges showcase the tans and earth tones as they have been exposed to the most water from the cracks within the ground. The flat gray pieces come from the interior stone as the rainwater cannot penetrate deep within the slabs.
