Lisbon Natural Thin Stone Veneer
Lisbon is a classic and warm natural thin cut limestone veneer. The thin veneer shows both the interior and exterior parts of the limestone slabs. The interior part of the stone is called machine cut or split face within the masonry industry. The name comes from the process of splitting the stone with a hydraulic press. We also use the hydraulic press to create the rough rectangles from the exterior faces of the slab. Lisbon falls into the ashlar or random ashlar pattern. The pieces are medium-sized and linear with some larger castle rock style pieces which provide size variation.
