We purchased from Quarry Mill a custom blend of stone designed by one of our good friends who is a masonry contractor. I communicated with Brandon about the blend very easily by both phone and email. Brandon answered all our questions and clearly explained the process due to the blend. The stones came on separate pallets to be mixed by our masonry contractor. Kirkland is a natural dimensional ledgestone thin veneer cut specifically for a drystack installation. The individual pieces of stone have heights of 2”, 4”, and 6” with natural edges. The natural edges require some cutting or field trimming on-site by your mason to get the pieces to fit together tightly. The field trimming allows your mason to add their own touch to the installation. Kirkland is primarily dark grey with hints of color coming from the natural mineral staining on the stone. The tan and brown tones almost appear to be embedded below the surface of the stone and only become clear upon close inspection. The stone is subject to heavy variation and it is best to check with us ahead of time to see photos of the current batch.
