Madrid is a natural thin cut sandstone veneer exclusively showing the interior part of the natural stone slabs.  The interior part of the stone is exposed by using a hydraulic press will 300 tons of pressure to break the stone. This type of stone is also referred to as split face or machine cut due to the production process.  Madrid has warm tones consisting of off-white, cream/buff, light grey, gold, and light brown.  The heights of the stone are quarry run; they are set by the thicknesses of the sandstone slabs as they are extracted from the ground.  The slabs of Madrid are roughly linear which gives the stone natural clean edges.
