The pieces of stone will usually be sawn on the edges to fit the board whereas the actual product will not be. Description

Tantallon is a real thin stone veneer with a beautiful and diverse range of colors.  The finished product that is Tantallon is a mix of quarried stones and natural fieldstones.  Although all the stones are the same in terms of composition and testing, the look of the two stones is quite different.  The quarried stones are more consistent with soft tan tones. The fieldstones are the pieces of stone on the surface of the ground that have been exposed to elements for years.  The exposure causes the fieldstones to develop their earthy brown tones.  Tantallon’s blend resembles centuries-old stone work of a time when people used easily accessible stone primarily for structural purposes.  Tantallon combines fieldstone for an old-world look with modern quarried stone to create a stunning blend and beautiful natural stone product.
