Simply put, this company provided stone that was beautiful. When we first began thinking about stone, we contacted several companies. Quarry Mill responded first and that responsiveness continued throughout the order and delivery. The permitting process in our housing development took much longer than anticipated but Quarry Mill quickly responded to any changes from our initial discussion.
Thunder Bay is a designer-curated natural stone veneer blend that we make in-house. This beautiful blend was created to showcase contrasting colors as well as shapes and stone types. A designer in our local community initially designed the blend to bring a fresh perspective to our local parade of homes. The lighter gray pieces are split face limestone. They fall into the ashlar style as they are linear and medium in size. The darker almost black pieces are quartzite and are larger castle rock style rectangular shapes. Thunder Bay is approximately three-quarters split face limestone and one-quarter black quartzite. These percentages can be adjusted based on customer request.
