Blue Ridge Natural Thin Stone Veneer
Blue Ridge is a natural low height ledgestone thin veneer. The veneer is unaltered except for the sawn back to create the thin stone; the tops and bottoms of the stone are completely natural. The small heights come from the naturally occurring thin layers within the quarry. The stone is quarried in sheets that are typically 1-3” thick with an occasional thicker sheet. The sheets are then split with a hydraulic press making the strips of ledgestone for Blue Ridge. Blue Ridge primarily shows the interior part of the stone from the splitting process but also incorporates the edges of the sheets. The edges provide the brown and tan pieces to the veneer just as they do on the quarry ledge.
