Chief Ledge Natural Thin Stone Veneer
Chief Ledge is a rough ashlar-style natural thin stone veneer with a pleasing blend of colors. This product consists of a mix of stones from two neighboring mountains. Although still considered quarrying, this stone is extracted from the side of a mountain as opposed to being dug from a quarry pit as is typical of most of our natural stone veneer products. One mountain produces the more natural grey tones, whereas, the other gives the browns, golds, and rust colors. These stark color variations between the two mountain sites are due to the mineral compositions. Large pieces of raw stone are collected and crated up in the mountains and then transported down to our central facility to be processed into natural thin veneer.
