Hammersmith Natural Thin Stone Veneer
Hammersmith is a bold black natural thin stone veneer. The name comes from the hand pitching or rock facing finish of the stone. Hand pitching is done with a chisel and creates the unique wavy texture of the finished stone. This labor-intensive process is also called hand dressing in the stone industry. The quarry that produces Hammersmith has consistent layers which dictate the heights of the pieces of the stone. Due to the heights of the stone, Hammersmith must be installed in a running bond or course height pattern as opposed to a 2:1 ashlar pattern. Hammersmith is a premium natural sandstone we import from overseas. The stone is in our warehouse and ready to ship.
