Santa Clara Natural Thin Stone Veneer

Santa Clara is a natural blend of split face stone in an ashlar pattern.  The stone is referred to as a natural blend because it has two distinct colors, but Santa Clara is compositionally the same stone.  The veneer consists of semi-consistent greys and tans in a full range of sizes.  Occasionally, the tans can have a beautiful pinkish hue. Santa Clara is unique in that the two distinct colors both come from the same quarry.  The tan pieces are extracted from the upper or shallow parts of the quarry, whereas, the neutral greys are pulled from the deeper areas.  The stone formed in different stages over time.  At each stage, there were different minerals present which led to the creation of different color stones in the same quarry.
