I requested an exterior accent wall as changes with my builder. A friend recommended thin stone veneer for the accent. I began my search online and came across Quarry Mill. I had other estimates from a local supplier, however, the selection and prices were not comparable. I called to order a sample board and receive information about the few products I was considering. I ultimately decided on Sheffield and could not be happier. Thank you!
Sheffield is a split face natural stone veneer with soft color variation. The thin veneer falls into the ledgestone style with shorter height pieces. Sheffield blends neutral grey tones with darker heavily veined pieces of stone. The raw stone used to create Sheffield comes out of the ground in much smaller slabs than most of our other options due to the natural layering of the quarry. Each quarry has its own unique layering. The layering is as unique as a fingerprint and even changes from one side to the other in some quarries. Typically, the layers are thinnest at the shallow depths and get thicker and larger the deeper you go. Sheffield is extracted exclusively from the top three feet of the quarry to get the smaller pieces and thinnest layers.
