Professionally made 12"x13.5" display board made to show the stones range of color and texture. The pieces of stone will usually be sawn on the edges to fit the board whereas the actual product will not be. Price includes shipping via USPS Priority Mail and typically arrives within five business days. Sample costs are credited towards the stone order.

Thompson is a quarried sandstone natural thin veneer with gray, brown, gold, and copper tones. The stone falls loosely into the ashlar style with some larger rectangular castle rock-style pieces in the mix.

Geologically, Thompson is the same stone as our Moss Rock product. Thompson is the quarried stone from the land where our Moss Rock fieldstone is hand-picked. Moss Rock are the pieces of stone that broke off from the solid bedrock over millennia and were pushed up through the soil. We strip the overburden to expose the sandstone bedrock and excavate the stone that makes Thompson. Consider blending Thompson with our squared moss rock product, Spreewald. Note: Thompson may have a longer lead time during certain times of the year.
