I had an entire fireplace surround installed in Atchison stone from the Quarry Mill and couldn’t be happier with the result. Atchison is a neutral grey dimensional ledgestone style thin veneer. The natural stone has consistent 2”, 4”, and 6” heights with semi-monochromatic tones. Atchison is created using a gang or multi-blade saw where full sheets of stone are fed in one side and consistent height strips are produced.
Atchison is well suited for modern design and large-scale applications. The dimensional ledgestone style and neutral tones create a visually appealing modern and orderly application on large surfaces. Upon request, we can add a splash of color by blending other stones in the mix. Atchison is a split back or natural back product and has not been sawn on the back with a diamond blade. The split back will have no impact on the installation or final appearance.
