We had an excellent experience with the stone from Quarry Mill. They were swift in responding to my calls and questions. I was able to order a custom sample and custom Avalon without any purple pieces. We placed the order and the stone was shipped during the Covid restrictions. We were extremely pleased with the turn around and level of service during this time. The shipping was quick and free, the cost was in our budget, and the stone is the highest quality with beautiful natural details.
Avalon is a low-height natural thin bluestone veneer with a tumbled finish. The stone is naturally straight. It has a natural top and bottom and is not sawn to specified heights. Avalon mainly consists of shades of grey/soft blue and gunmetal with an occasional lavender or “lilac” colored piece. Avalon’s texture is about as silky smooth as you can get with a real stone veneer. The edges are rounded more than most of our tumbled natural stone options. This style comes from the smaller pieces of stone being finished in a vibratory tumbler with fine gravel as opposed to our larger drum tumbler that we use on our other tumbled natural stone veneers.
