My wife and I enjoyed spending a Saturday morning with coffee in hand in our sun room looking through all the stone options on the QuarryMill website. Gills Rock is a dimensional cut off-white natural limestone thin veneer. The stone is 100% split face, meaning the exposed surface was created by splitting the stone with a large hydraulic press. Gills Rock showcases natural tones with whites, creams, and light grays. The stone has sawed heights of 4”, 6”, and 8” with snapped/split edges at random lengths.
The sawed height dimensions of Gills Rock are different from our standard dimensional stone heights. Due to this difference, Gills Rock is typically installed in a running bond or course height pattern (as shown in the mockup). Gills Rock can also lend itself to drystacking. Based on the cost-effective price, Gills Rock is sometimes installed in a random ashlar pattern; however, this installation method requires additional masonry work to accomplish.
