Laramie Natural Thin Stone Veneer

I am a contractor and used Quarry Mill stone for a commercial job after the owner found them online. There was no pressure and no “selling” by the sales staff. Ordering was simple and the stone was delivered to the job site. Will recommend them for future jobs.
Laramie is an ashlar style split face stone with great natural veining. The veneer is 100% split face and only shows the interior part of the natural stone. The stone has some beautiful swirls and subtle color variation. To create Laramie the slabs of natural stone are peeled out of the quarry. Loaders push their forks between the layers to pop the top layer free. This process is referred to as shelf rock mining. The slabs are between 2”-8” thick and up to eight feet in diameter. Each slab is fed into the hydraulic press one by one where they are split into strips about 4” thick. The strips of split stone are fed into the saw to be cut to a thickness of approximately 1”.

The freight company will call in advance to schedule a delivery appointment. A forklift or skid-steer with pallet forks is required on-site at time of delivery.
