Portofino Tumbled Ashlar Real Thin Stone Veneer Exterior

Portofino is a neutral and pleasing tumbled thin stone veneer.  Tumbling natural stone is a relatively straightforward process that produces a softer looking stone.  The natural stone is quarried and the slabs are split into full thickness building stone before being fed into the tumbler.  The tumbler is a large drum loosely resembling a cement mixer.  As it turns, the pieces jostle and collide with each other removing the rough corners and jagged edges.  It is amazing how much tumbling changes the look and feel of natural stone.  What starts as an unaltered quarried stone is loosely transformed into an old-world tumbled natural stone. Portofino has a cobblestone-like appearance in a more linear fashion.  The soft tans of the stone add to its feel of a historic Italian villa.

Our experience with the company Quarry Mill has been excellent in every respect. Our project involved the product Portofino as exterior siding. Brandon kept up fully informed of production and shipping updates. He was pleasant, polite, and competent. The quality of the stone is excellent.

Portofino Natural Stone Veneer Sample Board

Professionally made 12"x13.5" display board made to show the stones' range of color and texture. The pieces of stone will usually be sawn on the edges to fit the board whereas the actual product will not be. Price includes shipping via USPS Priority Mail and typically arrives within five business days. Sample costs are refunded upon placing the stone order.
