La Spezia Natural Thin Stone Veneer

La Spezia is a dimensional or sawn height natural thin stone veneer that has a tumbled finish.  The stone is adored for its cream and buff tones. The light and consistent color tones complement the soft textures achieved by tumbling the natural limestone.  To create La Spezia, large blocks of stone are quarried and then sawn into sheets with heights of 2.25”, 5” and 7.75”. The uniform sheets are fed into a large hydraulic press and snapped in 4” increments which creates the full depth building stone.  The building stone is processed in a tumbler to round the edges and create a softer looking stone. Lastly, the 4” thick stone is sawn into the natural thin veneer.
