Halcyon is a gold, grey, and cream tone real stone veneer cut into the dimensional style with a tumbled finish. The quarrying process for Halcyon is unique and somewhat more intricate and involved than our other natural stone veneers. Halcyon is not peeled up or extracted in layers. Instead, the quarry is carefully blasted with small charges of dynamite in a grid pattern. This engineered blasting creates consistent blocks of natural limestone roughly similar to the size of a car. The blocks are sawn into sheets of stone with thicknesses of 2.25”, 5”, and 7.75”. Once these steps are complete, the usable sheets go through the standard processes of splitting, tumbling, and sawing.
